ABROM VOCAL STUDIO
Outlined below are some of the policies and procedures of the studio designed to be mutually beneficial for both student and instructor. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Maintaining open lines of communication is essential to a successful learning experience.
30 minute lesson: $30.00, 60 minute lesson: $60.00
The first lesson for potential students is conducted as a "meet and greet" at no charge.. This gives me an opportunity to hear you and assess your vocal strengths and weaknesses, and allows the student to express their goals and musical experience. This is a service granted for students intending on studying long term on a regular schedule, and not intended for students who wish for an audition coaching. I believe it is important for student and teacher to have a good "fit" when beginning or continuing vocal training.
Lessons are to be paid in advance by one month. Payment can either be brought to the lesson or mailed to be received by the 7th.
All lessons will be recorded to cd and students will receive a cd for practice after each lesson. This service is included in the cost of your lessons. Students are expected to make great use of this learning tool and work with the cd in between lessons to practice and review exercises, learn music and refine technique worked on in the lessons.
I must be given 24 hours notice or you will be charged for the lesson. Exceptions include illness, inclement weather, and family emergencies. Students who give enough advance notice can choose to either schedule a makeup or credit the lesson to the next month’s bill. Since I have many students on a waiting list, and students who often wish to fit in an extra lesson for auditions and performances, it is important for me to receive as much advance notice as possible. Believe me, I do understand the intricacies of managing a family schedule and do my best to remain flexible and work with your scheduling needs.
